Kluboslavija
Logo Design

I had the honor of creating the logo for the Kluboslavija parties, a project by the renowned Belgrade DJ - MKDSL. Marko (MKDSL) organized a competition for the logo, and my design emerged as the winner.
Through Kluboslavija, MKDSL is involved in the revitalization of songs from the Yugoslav era. His sets include gems from pop, funk, new wave, disco, electro, rock, and schlager genres.

My idea was born almost instantly. The logo shows DJ caught up in the groove. The foundation of the logo is an homage to the YUGO logo, a car that holds significant importance for Yugoslavia and is a direct association with those nostalgic times. The color scheme is taken directly from the Yugoslav flag.
Considering that the logo is extensively used in PR materials, marketing, for sets, and branding on T-shirts and caps, I created another version of the logo that is more funky and uses a disco color scheme. 🪩🕺
The best part about the branded T-shirts and caps is that they're not for sale. Instead, they're awarded as prizes to the most cheerful people on the dance floor.
For those who miss Kluboslavija, there are live sets from the parties available on YouTube.
I love how Kluboslavija has grown as a brand. For the New Year's party, they acquired and modified a Yugo, using one half as the DJ booth, while the other half stood in front of the venue where the Kluboslavija New Year's party took place.
Kluboslavija Logo in the making
I'm really happy and thankful to be part of this project. MKDSL has done a great job bringing old Yugoslav songs back to life with his electro style. The parties are super popular in Serbia and the region, and it's awesome to see the crowd having a good time. It really brings back the vibes from the good old days.
